New Arrivals: December
The most exciting time of the year is finally here! Summer, road trips, vacations, and of course, CHRISTMAS! We've got a bunch of new products coming in this month, including the latest true wireless, four new Mi smartphones, and more!
The most commonly asked question has been "How do the Mi True Wireless Earphones Pro compare to the AirPods?" So we're going to take a quick look at the key differences to help you decide whether you want to take the plunge or spend half the price on the Mi version.
Mi True Wireless Earphones Pro are IPX4-rated which means they're perfect for the gym and outdoor activities as they withstand sweat and light rain showers, and you don't have to worry about damaging them. They also seal in your ear canal for better noise isolation and bass response and feature high-sensitivity microphones for clearer calls and less background noise which makes it ideal for those who take a lot of calls on-the-go. Both of these features are not present in the AirPods, which nowadays, are definitely worth considering when purchasing true wireless.
The Mi True Wireless Earphones have a total battery life of 10 hours - 3 hours for single-use and an additional 7 hours in the charging case. They also feature intuitive touch controls and voice assistant integration which you can activate simply by double-tapping the earphones. Command them to "Play some chill music" or ask "Is there a gym nearby?"
Remove your earphones to pause your music automatically so you can save battery power, thanks to built-in infrared sensors that let the earphones know when you're wearing them! They're comfortable, lightweight, and carefully designed to adjust to your ear. The silicone ear tips help to reduce outside noise while improving comfort and stability for the best wearing experience!
If you're still unsure about which one to buy, head into Mi Store to check it out for yourself!
With the Christmas and the new year coming up, you'll probably have lots of road trips, festivals, and flights overseas lined up. Make sure you have all your essentials ready to go, including a trusty power bank to keep all your devices charged - and I mean ALL of them!
The Mi Power Bank 3 Pro features a massive 20,000mAh capacity with USB-C + dual USB-A three-port output. The USB-C single port provides a maximum two-way fast charge function of 45W! For reference, it can charge a Mi Mix 2S 4.3 times and an iPhone 8 7.3 times. It's also compatible with Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei Quick Charge + iPhone PD Charging.
Charge more than one device at a time, whether it's your smartphone, headphones, tablet, Nintendo Switch console, or even your laptop! And with multiple safety protections, you don't have to worry about it ever overheating while in use.
Protect your eyes from the harsh sun this summer with these aviator-inspired Mi TS Nylon Polarized Sunglasses! These aren't just any ordinary sunglasses, they were designed to wear while driving, mountaineering, fishing, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities that you may have planned for the summer.
Nylon is known for excellent impact resistance and was widely used in the aerospace and military fields (helmets, military glasses, bulletproof glasses, etc.). Polarized nylon lenses are also common in popular high-end brands such as Ray-Ban and Gucci! The Mi TS Nylon Polarized Sunglasses are sturdy and durable while also being lightweight and comfortable, and offer almost 100% UV protection rating - perfect for all your summer adventures!
The first of the four new Mi smartphones we're going to introduce is the Redmi 8A. It's equipped with a huge 5,000mAh battery that offers an incredible 25-day standby time and supports 18W Fast Charging. The 18W fast charger is actually included with the phone in New Zealand - which is not the case for other markets. Right off the bat, we already know that this is the perfect option for those that value battery life above everything else. Whether you use your phone mostly for music, calling, videos or browsing, Xiaomi claims that you'll get about 3 days' normal use on a single charge!
The Redmi 8A features a 6.22" HD+ Dot Drop display, 12MP rear + 8MP selfie camera, large-capacity speaker, and AI face unlock, all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor for smooth user experience.
The Redmi 8 was released about a month after the Redmi 8A and is step up for those who are looking for a little bit extra without a huge jump in price. The Redmi 8 takes the 8A’s winning formula of a big screen and a big battery and doubles both the RAM and the storage, plus adding an extra rear AI camera to get the perfect portrait.
The Redmi 8 also offers Bluetooth 5.0 over the Redmi 8A's Bluetooth 4. Although the differences aren't that significant, some people may value certain features more than others. For example, if you're looking for a smartphone with excellent battery life, standard camera and enough storage, then the Redmi 8A would be the go for you. But if you're looking for excellent battery life, plus a decent camera, more storage, and better Bluetooth connection for your wireless headphones or other Bluetooth-enabled devices, then the Redmi 8 would be a smarter option.
In both phones, the driving factor is battery life.
